"I want to help our Spanish-speakers feel welcome, and it's really hard to do just using apps all the time."
This is a common situation schools find themselves in. Many of your staff, whether in central office or the front office, the classroom or the clinic, want to connect with Spanish-speaking students and families.
They are frustrated by how impersonal it feels to type a phrase into Google Translate. If they have interpreters available (which are AMAZING!), they still feel that to rely on them completely puts an unnecessary distance between them and families, and leaves families feeling less than comfortable with staff.
They see the anxiety and even frustration in students, parents and caregivers, and they want to be able to do something to help. They want to have some foundational Spanish language skills to create shared moments of direct connection.

Spanish for Educators is a broad term for the Spanish classes taught by Together, Language, which are designed specifically for adults who work in schools. Classes are themed around roles (e.g. Spanish for Office Professionals, Spanish for Teachers, Spanish for Nurses and Counselors) or around purpose (e.g. Spanish for Relationship-Building).
These are the only Spanish classes that are built around best-practices for adult language learning, beyond-hectic schedules, and the specific vocabulary and grammar you need to have your most frequent interactions with families. Get a summary of how Spanish for Educator classes are designed differently than other Spanish classes. They implement the most current research for adult language learning and incorporate best practices for helping adults overcome the fears and limitations that come from being an adult language learner working with families in schools.
"Anne's teaching is so individualized. I feel like this is the type of teaching every kid should get. I feel like I am learning, and I'm never left thinking, 'I don't need this.' It's great." - Lisa
"The benefits of this class have been tremendous... Any time we asked Anne about things we needed to say specific to our position or school, she made sure we knew how to say them and the key words to listen for in a response. The vocabulary shared was immediately applicable to our work. This course has opened more layers of communication with our families. I plan to continue offering this course and creating one for teachers once some semblance of normalcy returns." - Evelyn
"I've been trying to learn Spanish literally my entire life and working with Anne is the most progress I've ever made. She was patient, knowledgeable, and helped me learn Spanish I could use in everyday conversations. I would highly recommend working with Anne." - Lauren
"A large function of my position is knowing and communicating with parents and families. However, there was always a gap in connecting with my Spanish-speaking families. While I am not fluent in Spanish (yet), Anne's lessons have helped me increase my confidence and relationships with our Spanish-speaking scholars and families. Her lessons and homework assignments are perfect for people with busy schedules. She never makes you feel like you are behind and instead works to support you where you are. I love that Anne creates SO MANY videos, does live lessons, and more to help us practice and learn what is most relevant in our day-to-day functions first! I am truly grateful for all of her help." - Briana
"Anne is like the yoga teacher of Spanish. I felt way more confident speaking to [a parent] after just one lesson." - Molly
"This has been so much fun and useful! I have shared [Anne's] teaching strategies with one of our new Spanish teachers. It has been helpful for me to support her with instruction." - Wendy
"I feel like it was really exciting to have class. I looked forward to it... [Anne is] an awesome teacher and I would love to attend another class with the group." - Reauna
"[My Spanish] has evolved greatly. I use it more often and am more determined than before. You're awesome!" - Ericka
"I have enjoyed [the course]. I have gotten to see co-workers I normally wouldn't see and gained the ability to have Spanish in common. I have been speaking with more Spanish-speaking students and got complimented on how well I've been doing." - Audris
