Many educators and others who work in schools find it a necessity to speak Spanish to some degree in certain situations. Whether you are doing Duo Lingo, taking a class with us, or simply reading aloud translations from Google Translate, it can be disconcerting to wonder if you are saying the words aloud correctly!

Learn everything you need to know to read any word and any phrase aloud correctly and confidently.

Before her career in education, Anne Truran worked seasonally in Mexico and Central America over the course of ten years. She fell in love with the classroom when she began teaching bilingual first grade on the Texas-Mexico border at the age of 23. She later taught Spanish immersion, bilingual intervention, and wrote Spanish and English reading curriculum Austin, TX.

Experience taught Anne that there are many educators out there who want to forge direct connections with Spanish-speakers. I
n 2018, Anne began teaching Spanish to other educators on the side, and in 2023, she made the switch to full-time. She loves to see the many unexpected benefits they experience once they start using Spanish with students and families!

Anne has a 2-year-old son, another on the way, and 3-year-old dog who are learning Spanish and English at the same time. She loves gardening, strolling in her neighborhood park with a latte in-hand (not in the stroller, it splatters), and slow travel.
