The Multilingual Access
Leadership Institute
 - MALI -

SCHEDULE A CONVERSATION
You've tried the tools. You've led the trainings. You've sent the reminders.

And multilingual families are still not getting what they need — because the culture underneath hasn't changed.

MALI is the year-long leadership program that changes that.

The Problem

You already know what needs to happen. The challenge is getting your whole school to do implement translation & interpretation for families — consistently, sustainably, and without it all falling back on you.

Most multilingual leaders are working in isolation, carrying a responsibility that belongs to the entire school community. When they leave, the system leaves with them. When they're out sick, families lose access. When they push for change, they hit a wall of indifference they don't have the tools to move.

It's not a strategy problem. It's a culture and systems problem. And it requires a different kind of support than a workshop or a toolkit can provide.

The Solution

The Multilingual Access Institute isn't another PD that tells you what you're legally obligated to do without telling you how to actually get your staff to do it.

It's a year-long intensive for multilingual leaders who are done working in isolation and ready to build something school-wide, sustainable, and real — with coaching, community, and accountability every step of the way.

When you lead with belonging first, the strategies you already know how to implement finally take root.

Schools that have applied this framework have seen school-wide use of translation and interpretation increase by 5–8x — initiated by classroom teachers, administrators, nurses, and front office staff. Not just the EL department.

What's Included

  • 15 live virtual sessions with Anne Truran over the course of the year
  • Twice-weekly group coaching calls
  • Weekly asynchronous coaching cycles
  • Rapid-response problem-solving calls for common challenges
  • A curated community of multilingual leaders working toward the same goal
  • Embedded implementation support tailored to your specific school context

What This Isn't.

Drive-by professional development. One inspiring session isn't enough to move a system. MALI is built for sustained implementation, not inspiration alone.

Cookie-cutter strategy. You'll be supported to implement research-based best practices in ways that are responsive to your unique context — not handed a script and sent on
your way.

Siloed success. The goal isn't just your growth. It's equipping you to become the kind of leader who builds capacity in everyone around you.

The Guarantee

Follow the MALI curriculum and don't see measurable progress toward equitable, school-wide multilingual family communication? We will continue to work with you one-on-one, for free, until you do.

About Anne

Anne Truran is the founder of Together, Language and has spent 17 years working in and alongside schools as a teacher, instructional leader, and consultant.

She founded her district's English Learner program, has worked with multilingual communities from the Texas-Mexico border to the Midwest, and developed the Belonging-First Framework after years of learning — the hard way — that strategies alone don't stick when it comes to this work.

MALI is the program she wishes had existed when she was doing this work alone.

Call to Action

Enrollment closes June 30.

The first cohort is limited to 10–15 districts. If you're ready to stop spinning your wheels and start building something that lasts, let's talk.
